Elizabeth Winnel grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario in Canada. She concentrated her high school studies in the pursuit of the arts and proceeded to post secondary education in London, Ontario at Fanshawe College, enrolled in the Fine Art program. In 2006 she transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design to complete a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration. Upon graduation she moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2009, to get involved with the large art community in the city. In 2010, Winnel was accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design Masters of Fine Art Painting program. She currently lives and works in Savannah, Georgia while completing her MFA candidacy. Winnel's work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
