I grew up in northern California in a small town near the top of the state. It was a very beautiful place to live, right on the Pacific coast and among the redwood forests, it’s there that my love of nature flourished.
I went to Pratt institute for college, I was a fine arts major but more specifically a drawing major there, and my skills were honed in my many six hour drawing and painting classes. I have always loved drawing, and have always been obsessed with animals, even as a child all I wanted to draw were cats and horses.
In my day to day life I spend a lot of time responding to e mails actually haha, I get a vast quantity of mail daily, so I spend a few hours sorting through that, then usually I will work in my studio for the remainder of the day. I like to have music going or play a movie in the background while I work, and I’ll just work on whatever project is most urgent. I do a lot of work for gallery shows, but I also have a lot of commission work; tattoos, album covers, posters, book illustrations, etc. all of which have due dates that I have to meet.
